Fact! Most people at some point in their lives will require the use of a house clearance firm. Yes, there are a lot of good, reputable house clearance companies out there; but sadly there are also a lot of rogue, fly-by-night so-called house clearance companies too.
Our ongoing aim is to build a database comprising of only reputable house clearance members that we have vetted personally to ensure they meet our strict criteria, and who follow The UK House Clearance Association code of practice to the letter.
We ensure our current members are:
1. Fully covered with liability insurance, so in the event that anything does go wrong, you are fully covered.
2. Fully licensed with the environment agency, to transport the items from the house clearance. Did you know that if fly-tipped waste is traced back to any particular household, that household is liable to a fine of up to £5000?
3. Genuine registered UK companies fully registered with the UK tax office.
4. Fully accountable for whatever reason. We will act as a mediator between yourself and the company in question to resolve any issues or concerns that you may have.
Our promise to you:
If any of our members knowingly break our code of practice, or undertake business in a way which is detrimental to our ethos, they will be held fully accountable & action will be taken. We will work with both you and our members to ensure any problems are resolved quickly and amicably.
Our ethos is to ensure a high professional standard and quality that provides you peace of mind, and that you have someone to turn to if things go wrong. We are here to help you make the right choices and can offer help, and advice before, during, and after your house clearance.
If you decide to use a house clearance company not listed in our members area, then please be sure to check out our rogue house clearance warning signs guide. Please just take a few minutes to read it through. It could save you an awful lot of heartache, time, money, & legal wrangles.
